- You shouldn't have to modify your existing
reports and you shouldn't have to recreate your parameters just to get dynamic /
dynamic + cascading values (you must modify with BO XI)
- You should have the power for true cascading values
(BO XI does not)
- You shouldn't be forced to use BusinessViews
(as you are with BO XI)
- You shouldn't be restricted to 1000 values (as
you are with BO XI)
- Performance does matter! SPL is up to 350%
FASTER than BO XI!
- You should have more control of how your
parameter prompts are displayed (BO XI can not)
- You should have the power to display one value
to the user but send another to the report (i.e. show the user "New York" but
send "NY" to the report for processing) (BO XI can not)
- You should have the ability to send multiple values
to a stored procedure (BO XI can not)
- And a lot of other powerful features that are
coming in SPL 3
